Hogeye Navvy is an acoustic, shanty-singing band whose repertoire expands to include the traditional music of Ireland, Scotland, England, and North America. The band has performed for more years than its members care to admit, at everything from wedding receptions to pubs to a pre-show for a boxing match to a tour in Ireland. Along the way we've developed a strong following of "Hog Heads" who love to join in the singing of the shanties and drinking songs and ballads, and some whose dancing feet cannot resist the tunes. If you already are among the Hog Heads, you're the best! If you're a Hogeye Virgin, get in touch and we'll put you on the contact list. The next step is to get to one of our performances and introduce yourself!

Successfully held in German Park for 33 years, this year's 2008 Oktoberfest moves to the Indiana State Fairgrounds beginning this year. The move from the far south side of Indianapolis to the more central location at 38th Street and Fall Creek Parkway makes it more convenient for residents north of Marion County to attend the festivities.

RIDE THE OKTOBERFEST TRAIN!
Oktoberfest Train will make four round-trips to the Fairgrounds on each of the five evenings of Oktoberfest. It will depart from Fishers Station located on 116th Street, about a half-mile west of exit 5 of Interstate 69. Free parking is available at Fishers Station but it is suggested that travelers should arrive about 30 minutes before their intended departure time to find a parking spot and purchase train tickets. Trains will depart on time!!
The train delivers passengers to 39th Street and Millersville Road. A short walk takes passengers across the historic 39th Street bridge over Fall Creek to a traffic-controlled crossing of Fall Creek Parkway. Passengers are then at Gate 6 of the Fairgrounds. Once through the gate, Fairgrounds shuttles will transport the train riders to the west side of the Fairgrounds where the revelry will take place in and around the Agriculture/Horticulture building.
Travelers can pick from the many departure and return times in planning how long they would like to enjoy Oktoberfest.
The train is a great way to get to Oktoberfest but those that just want a train ride may also come along.
The ITM on-board staff will make every effort to accommodate passengers in boarding the train and stowing strollers. The Indiana Transportation Museum will be providing round-trip transportation to this year's Tipton County Pork Festival in Tipton, Indiana.
Reservations are not needed, and the train will operate rain or shine. The train departs from the Hobbs Station in Forest Park, and transports passengers directly to downtown Tipton.

The Weekend Express ,as well as all our other trains, normally operates with a locomotive on each end. This allows us to run at track speed (up to 30 mph) in each direction. Occasionally, only one locomotive is available to pull the train. On those days we MUST run to Fishers where we can move the engine from the south end of the train to the north end to return the train to Noblesville.
So, if you have a real need to visit one town and not the other please call the gift shop between 11 AM and noon at 317 776 7887 and ask for today's destination.

What do a train museum, a local seed company and a local FFA chapter have in common? The answer is... PUMPKINS!
This fall, why not take a train ride and pick your own pumpkin from a local Hamilton County farm?
ITM's Annual Fall family fun, The Pumpkin Train, will be operating round-trips from the Museum in Noblesville.
ITM is proud to announce a partnership between the museum, Beck's Hybrids and the Hamilton Heights High School FFA chapter for this year's pumpkin patch. Beck's has donated the use of land for the patch, and the Heights FFA chapter will be raising and selling the pumpkins. Proceeds from the sale of the pumpkins will go to support the Hamilton Heights FFA program.
This is a great opportunity to bring the family out for a festive fall train ride, enjoy fun activities at the patch, and purchase a pumpkin to help support a great local youth agricultural education program!
Travel through the Hamilton County countryside, with a stop at a farm field to see a petting zoo of farm animals and the pumpkin patch. Pumpkins may be purchased separately.

By Robin Hawdon, A Central Indiana Premiere!
PREMISE: A man wakes up in the bridal suite on his wedding morning to find an extremely attractive naked girl in bed beside him. In the depths of a stag night hangover, he can't even remember meeting her. Before he can get her out, his bride to be arrives to dress for the wedding and, in the ensuing panic, the girl is locked in the bathroom. The best man is persuaded to claim her, but he gets confused and introduces the chamber maid to the bride as his date. The crisis escalates to nuclear levels by the time the mother of the bride and the best man's actual girlfriend arrive. This rare combination of riotous farce and touching love story has provoked waves of laughter across Europe and America.
Artistic Director and Co-Founder Judy Fitzgerald will direct this production that runs from September 11 - 21, 2008 (Thursday, Friday, Saturday’s at 8:00 pm and Sunday’s at 2:00 PM).
