The Weekend Express is an easy and convenient way for children of all ages to experience their first passenger train rides. It is also a chance for nostalgic children of a "more advanced" age to take a nostalgic train trip. Almost every Saturday and Sunday from late April to the end of September the Weekend Express takes a round-trip journey from Forest Park in Noblesville to either Fishers or Atlanta, Indiana. Upon arrival at either of these towns the train will "layover" for about one hour allowing passengers to shop or enjoy a quick meal. The train then returns you to Noblesville. Duration of the entire trip is about two hours. The Weekend Express departs at 1PM. Check our web site for today's destination and to be certain that the train runs today. On two Saturdays in June and two more in July the Weekend Express will be replaced by the Hoosier Heartland. Also, the Weekend Express will not run the first four Saturdays or the first three Sundays in August as we prepare for and operate the WFMS FairTrain©. Reservations are not needed to ride this train. just arrive at the Indiana Transportation Museum about 12:45.
